Assorted Comments from the Sniper Course Evaluation

April 15, 2010

“Honestly, I wish we would have spent more time on face painting.”

“I thought we were going to be able to use the phrase kill-shot more than we did.”

“Sniping has been a part of my family since WWII. I can’t say I learned anything that I didn’t already know-aside from the face-painting.”

“I couldn’t tell if Sgt. Peterson’s metaphor about scopes being like eyes was ironic or not. He seems like a smart guy-one not likely to use cliche-but I couldn’t read his tone. If he was joking, and I didn’t understand, then what was the point? Shouldn’t humor be more inclusive in a training environment?”

“Definitely loved the face-painting guy. Could have used more time with that.”

“I didn’t realize this was training to actually kill people.”

“Since when did we stop saying Jap?”

“This was way more fun than parachuting camp. But I’m sure you get that all the time. Still, thanks.”

“Learning to put a bullet through a man’s skull has taught me that you don’t need a Harvard MBA to make a difference in this world. Plus the face-painting just makes it all worth it.”

“I was ready to quit until the face-painting guy showed up. It’s not an exaggeration to say that he changed my life.”
